Sweet Pea Birthday card

Good afternoon. I needed some quick and easy birthday cards and I think this fits the bill. I used the Sweet Pea designer paper on top of whisper white and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Scalloped punched the edges and added another of the designer papers over that. I wanted some kind of embellishment but not ribbon or hardware. I used the 1/2", 3/4", and 1" circle punches to recreate the circles on the designer paper. The saying is from On Your Birthday. Enjoy

Spotlight technique

Good morning. Today's card is from my technique class on Tuesday. We did the spotlighting technique. The card base is Pretty in Pink and the stamp set is a Level 1 Hostess set from the Idea Book. It was a lot of fun creating this card. Join us on the second Tuesday in May for the next technique class. Enjoy!

I have many projects in various stages of completion, but nothing finished to post. Real life has gotten in the way. I have 2 friends in the hospital and everytime I sit down to create I think about them. I will have something new tomorrow, and hopefully each day this next week. Thank you for standing by me.

NEW STAMPIN UP COLORS

Today, Stampin’ Up! announced some amazing changes to the color lines! They are now called Color Collections instead of Families and have been rearranged for ease of selection as Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles. We were allowed to share with our customers so that you may plan your purchase decisions based on this new information. The new (or old In Colors) will be available for customers beginning July 1, and the current (but soon to be retired colors) will be available for purchase until June 30th.

Several In Colors from the last couple of years have returned, including my all-time favorite, Baja Breeze! (Also returning are Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, River Rock and Tangerine Tango.)

Three of this year’s In Color favorites are not going to retire and will be available for purchase into next year: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Soft Suede. Kraft has been renamed as Crumb Cake….yum!

The chart at the top shows you the remaining colors which includes the five new colors (Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist) Five new In Colors will be available in July that will now last 2 years instead of just one, and they sound lovely!

Some colors are retiring that I will miss such as Brocade Blue and Creamy Caramel, so if you would like to order any of these 30 pretty colors in cardstock, ink pads or refills, you’ll need to do so before June 30, 2010. I hope you are as excited to try Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso as I am, I look forward to the new color combos we can make.

Easter Bunny gifts, day 2

Wow oh wow! First this cute decorated bag, then the inside. Oh my goodness. Jelly Belly's, shaped brads to use on my banners, a post it holder with pen, and EGG planters. Each of these cute little ceramic eggs actually holds flower seeds. I am going to put them on the windowsill in my room and let my students see what grows. My bunny was so good to me! Enjoy!
