This is the card I made for the Over The Top swap at convention. By the time I was finished punching all of them my hand really hurt...but it was worth it. The card base is Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz was used behind each square.

Very Vintage Convention Swap

Barbara Welch always has a fabulous Very Vintage swap at Leadership and Convention. This is my swap for convention this year. I used Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush, and Very Vanilla card stock. Baked Brown Sugar Ink, Ovals framelits, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. Can't wait to see the fabulous swaps I get.

Next In Color Club beginning

I'm putting the second round of In Color shares together. Embossing folder holder

I bought these lunch boxes several years ago and they have been collecting dust since then. I used designer paper and ribbon to turn them into a holder for all our fabulous Embossing folders. Retired items going fast

We will spend the first 30 minutes or so discussing views of prayer and adding to our already existing prayer lists. This is not a Bible study, but rather a time to come together with all our blessings of prayer. We will then create the above journal to keep with us and and create four prayer cards to send. The fee covers the materials to create this wonderful Journal. I will bring this journal class to your group at a site, date, and time of your choice. There is no limit on the number of people that can attend there…as long as they have a table space to work. Space in my studio is limited to 12 so do not delay. A friend of mine makes model ships....really fantastic ones. I found this card on Sandi MacIvers blog from awhile ago. It is a perfect birthday card for a ship builder. It uses the Open Sea stamp set and the retired DSP from last year. I hope he enjoys it half as much as I enjoyed making it.

It sure was heavy

When we were in Orlando earlier this month for Stampin'Up!'s Leadership conference we stayed with a high school friend of my hubby's. The friend was a TV Producer/Director and won an Emmy. I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. My mother passed away yesterday and it was a bad week before that. She was 91 and a blessing my whole life. I've been working on projects, will get pictures taken and resume posting next week. Thank you all for your understanding.

Gifts for my class on Monday

Today's project is the 2, 4, 6, 8 Halloween Box. You cut your cardstock at 5.5 x 8.5 and score on the long side at 2,4,6,8 inches...hence the name of the box. You score 2" on the short side. You cut your lid at 3.5 x 3.5 and score 3/4" on each side. I got the directions from Angie Juda at mychicnscratch. I used the Wicked Cool stamp set along with the 1-3/8 Circle Punch and the 1-3/4 Scallop Circle Punch. I used Old Olive card stock and Basic Black. I embossed the box using the Chevron Embossing Folder and notice the lines are horizontal instead of vertical. I See you!!

A friend on Facebook, Sheila, was going to have a class using the big shot and Petite Pocket Die. I loved the ideas she was teaching and asked for directions. Instead, we Facetimed the class. It was fabulous. One of her students created the projects in front of her iPad and I followed along. This was a wonderful example of the sharing that goes on between Stampin'Up! demonstrators. I love what I do and am so happy that others are willing to share. This is a mini scrapbook we created using the Petite Pocket Bigz XL die. We also used the Two Tags Bigz die to create the inserts. The colors used were: Starfruit card stock and ribbon, Soft Suede and Tangerine Tango card stock, and Comfort Cafe Designer Paper. We used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to hold the parts together. Thank you Sheila for your willingness to share. I'll post the other projects as I finish them. I am going to be offering a Bigshot Bonus class on the last Thursday of the Month, 6:00 pm only. If you've purchased a bigshot from me your first 2 classes are FREE! If you haven't purchased one your class cost and the cost from January on will be $10 for 3 projects. You will need to bring your Big Shot to class each time. I will have mine available for those who haven't purchased one YET!!!!!

I was busy making samples for my Hostess/Customer appreciation day on December 9th from 12-5 and whoops....LOL Can you see which one is the mistake? It's the top one. I put the designer paper on upside down. See everyone makes mistakes. I think I'll put the belly band on the other way and leave it as is. I love the fall colors in this card. We will be using embossing powder and the embossing folders. This one says Happy Thanksgiving.

Last Monday of the Month - October

This is one of the cards we will be doing on the last Monday of the Month, at either 10 am or 7 pm. Let me know which time you will be attending. RSVP and payment is due by the 3rd. Monday. This card was "cased" from Mary Fish. I love her insight into another way of using our framelits. The base color is Rich Razzleberry. I used two DSP patterns and 2 color brads. The flower leaves are from the 5 petal punch. All the other shapes are from the framelits. You won't want to miss this class.

Sandee and I put our trays together yesterday, just waiting for the perfect picture to complete it. Wow how easy it was and how wonderful it looks. I already have ideas flowing about how to do different inserts using our fabulous Stampin'Up! products. I have 2 trays left so hurry with your RSVP. Printer's Tray Class

Stampin'Up! has made available additional Printer's Trays that were available to new recruits during August/early September. I have purchased 5 additional trays/materials minus the stamp set for a class on Saturday, October 21 from 1pm until around 5. The cost of this class will be $50 and is reserved with payment only. If more than 5 people are interested payment is required and will be offered as supplies last. If you've paid and I cannot get the trays your fee will be refunded. RSVP and payment due immediately. The cut-off for additional trays (beyond the 5 I have) is October 1st. Don't delay!

Morning. Sorry for the lack of posts. It's happening again. I'm creating but failing to take pictures. I'm trying to get better at that. A reminder that the end of the month class is this Monday. The classes uses the Perfectly Preserved stamps and framelits. They are so cute, you know you want to sign up. ALSO, BIG NEWS, because I recruited last month, thank you Sandee, I was able to purchase additional printer trays and accessories. I will be offering a class in a few weeks, will post the prices and times in the near future.

Lobster Roll

Visited our Daughter and Son-In-Law in August and spent the day in Kennebunkport Maine. One of the highlights of going there is the little "shack" by the bridge that has the best Lobster Rolls ever. Yummo, really enjoyed it.

Another Blooming with Kindness

Isn't this another fantastic color combination? And I love using the Embossing folders to add texture and the WOW factor. The ribbon is the back side of our black polka dotted ribbon. Blooming with Kindness is the set we will be using at the Church event and it will also be the set used in the October Class to Go. I will post the cost closer to October. Triple layer stamping

Today's post is the new triple layer stamping technique. I will be presenting this card at an event at North Mar Church on October 13th. The ladies will purchase the stamp set and then we will make 3 cards. Love this technique and love the color combo.

Sorry I haven't been posting, I've been creating. And I always forget to bring my camera down to the stamp room. I will take all the pictures this weekend and get back to regular posting next week. Lots of fun surprises for the upcoming classes and Classes to go. Don't forget about the In-Color club, it's not too late to join.

My Christmas Buffet begins on Monday. I have 2 openings in my morning class and 3 for the evening. $75 if you pre-pay before Monday and you will make a total of 40 cards by the end of the November class. Class fee is $20 a month after Monday. I will have the pictures up for the next Class to go. We will use the Mixed Bunch stamp set and punch. The cost will be $60 for the stamp set(in clear), punch, directions, pictures, and cardstock cut for 4 cards. Cost is $70 for wood. Let me know asap so I can get the materials ordered.
