St. Patricks cards

This is a card I made for a swap. Decided on another one but wanted to share this. I used the Lucky Shamrock single stamp from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The card stock is Garden Green and white. I ran the white part through the big shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The Scallop Edge Border punch was used on the middle piece and Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon finishes it off. The stamp was mounted on the 2 1/2" scalloped punch and the 2 1/2 circle punch was punched in white and added behind. Enjoy~

Another Valentine swap from Leadership

Here is another swap from Leadership. It was created by my upline Kathy Stone and was cased from Gretchen Barron. I love the black and Melon Mambo. We did this embossing technique at my club this month. Thank you Kathy and Gretchen. Cardstock is Basic Black and Melon Mambo. Black cardstock is run through the Big Shot and the Dotted embossing folder. Black embossing powder over versamark. We used the I{Heart} Hearts stamp set. Black Taffeta Ribbon. Enjoy!

Christmas Buffet card #1

Scalloped flower card

Good morning. Several days ago I showed you the scalloped flower. Here is the finished card. The base and flower are Cherry Cobbler (my favorite new color). *NEW PRODUCT ALERT! The DSP is Deck the Halls. You can begin ordering this paper on September 1st. Love it. The top note was cut using the big shot and Crumb Cake cardstock. The saying if from Oval All (113790) and an Antique Brad finishes the card. This card will be part of my fall card buffet. Enjoy!

Wedding card

Hello from New Hampshire. We attended a wedding in New York this weekend, and are in New Hampshire visiting with our daughter and son in law. This is the card I created for the bride and groom. I used the new texture plate (available on July 1) and used the rose from Fifth Avenue Floral using the watercolor and clear emboss technique. I love how this turned out. Cardstock colors are Whisper White and Night of Navy. Enjoy!

Dry embossing Black and White

Good morning. My technique class met last night and we did dry embossing. I chose black and white because wedding season is upon us.

The supplies were black, white, and vellum cardstock. We used black brads to hold the vellum on the black cardstock. Various stamps were used. This card was created by Becky and I think she did a fantastic job for her first try. Such an elegant card. Enjoy!

Flower inspiration

Good morning. I took these beautiful pictures this morning before the cold front causes them to wilt. I am going to use these pictures as the inspiration for the card I will post tomorrow. I will be using Melon Mambo, one of our in-colors and the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. Check back tomorrow for the card. Enjoy the pictures.

Sweet Pea Birthday card

Good afternoon. I needed some quick and easy birthday cards and I think this fits the bill. I used the Sweet Pea designer paper on top of whisper white and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Scalloped punched the edges and added another of the designer papers over that. I wanted some kind of embellishment but not ribbon or hardware. I used the 1/2", 3/4", and 1" circle punches to recreate the circles on the designer paper. The saying is from On Your Birthday. Enjoy

Valentine card

Good afternoon. Another snow day today, and no school again until Tuesday. I've been in the basement stamping for two days getting samples ready for my upcoming classes. I will have them ready to begin posting next week.

Today's post is the Valentine card I am giving this year. It was cased from a swap I received at Leadership. The swap did not have any information on it so I don't know whom to credit. Enjoy!

Valentine cards for my students

Good morning. Finally dug out from yesterday's storm.

Today's post is the card I'm giving my first graders for Valentine's Day. It is an adaption from one posted on Patty Bennett's blog. I used the new Heart shaped treat cups and the fancy favor Big Shot die. I followed Patty's directions except I cut the two end flaps off. The main color is Real Red and the Designer paper is Sending Love from the Occasions Mini. The "holder" for the candy is from the Two Tags die for the Big Shot.

My first MDS card

Good morning. I just love our new "My Digital Studio". I've finished my certification program and one of the requirements was to create and print a project. Mine is this Halloween card. Some of the greatest uses is you can create calendars or albums and have them finished and professionally printed and bound. A fantastic gift that will be so personal.

I also use it to "create" my projects first to see how the finished project looks before I cut into my cardstock and Designer Paper. Saves a lot of wasted time and product.
