Craft Show on November 12th

I will be participating in the Relay for Life Craft Show at the Howland Baptist Church on Old 82 (Warren Sharon Road) on Saturday, November 12th. I have lots of hand sanitizer holders, lip balm holders, cards, notepad holders, etc., and will be taking orders for the Advent Calendar. This Christmas card class consists of 4 cards for $12.50. This is a really great class with over the top techniques. The class time is 9:00 am till noon. Note the early start time. Lots of Lollies

One of the fantastic displays at Convention this July was the containers of Lollies. I'm learning how to do them and will be offering a class next month to make the wreath shown in the Holiday Mini. Halloween 12 x 12 scrapbook page

Joanna had a workshop on Sunday and we did this Halloween scrapbook page. I cased a card by Joanne French and turned it into a page. We used Pumpkin Pie as the background paper and Pick Your Poison Designer paper from the Holiday Mini as the square layers. Old Olive finished the paper. Stamp set used is Wicked Cool from the Idea Book and Catalog. When Stampin'Up! announced the Bitty Bat punch was in the clearance rack, I punched black bats and put them down in various spots. Enjoy!

Convention announcements

Oh my goodness....this convention is a whirlwind for the brain. No pictures since I left the attachment that puts my camera card into the laptop. But I will have them when I get home. I was chosen to go on stage and try and guess where the next mini incentive trip will be. I didn't guess correctly, but just to be chosen was wonderful.

Lots of announcements. Incentive trip, which I hope to win with your help, is to Fiji. How exciting. AND we have a Simply Scoring. That is a 12 x 12 pad with lines to score our paper up to every 1/8th inch. I am so excited to show you this at our next stamp camp. I will be leaving on Tuesday, July 12th for the annual Stampin'Up! convention in Salt Lake City. I will be gone until Sunday, July 17th. Mowing the visitor center

Can you imagine having to mow the roof instead of the lawn. This was the visitor's center in Anchorage. Just a really unique building.

This is what Jeff King looks like when he is running the dogs. Can you imagine? But I guess with the weather they go through they need it.

Puppies

One of the side trips we took in Denali was to the Husky Homestead, home of 4 time Iditarod champion Jeff King. I got to hold a 6 week old puppy. He really loves his dogs and it shows. The kennel was so clean. He did a presentation of what he wears when he is racing. I'll post that tomorrow.

Glacier Ice

This is a picture from Anchorage. It was in front of a tour business. Glacier ice, couldn't resist!! The beginning of the most awesome adventure. I will post several pictures each day for the next couple of weeks. Will also post my class schedule. Since I am now retired I will be having classes during the day as well as evenings. I look forward to seeing you in class. I will have my Alaska scrapbook finished by the end of July so you can see all the wonderful sights I saw.

Hello. We are in Vancouver at the end of a fabulous two week trip through Alaska. I will be home on Wednesday for those of you who have orders waiting. I will be posting pictures at the end of the month.

Time off

Good morning. It has been awhile since I've posted and I'm sorry for that. It is the end of the school year and I am retiring. I've been cleaning out 30 years of teaching supplies. My daughter teaches K and will receive most of them.

I am taking time off from classes and will post updates as I have them. Beginning July 1 I will be offering classes during the day as well as evenings. Wow, I can't believe it's been 5 days since my class and I haven't posted. Monica and Randy came on Saturday and did a fantastic job. I don't have pictures but they made the two I've posted before. Randy is turning into a wonderful stamper. Way to go guys!!

St. Patricks cards

This is a card I made for a swap. Decided on another one but wanted to share this. I used the Lucky Shamrock single stamp from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The card stock is Garden Green and white. I ran the white part through the big shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The Scallop Edge Border punch was used on the middle piece and Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon finishes it off. The stamp was mounted on the 2 1/2" scalloped punch and the 2 1/2 circle punch was punched in white and added behind. Enjoy~

New Blog

Although I will still be posting to this blog occasionally I am going to focus on my Stampin'Up! blog found here. It is more convenient for you to find my classes and to see the newest projects I'm working on. This will take place over the next month or so. Let me know if you have any problems.

Another Valentine swap from Leadership

Here is another swap from Leadership. It was created by my upline Kathy Stone and was cased from Gretchen Barron. I love the black and Melon Mambo. We did this embossing technique at my club this month. Thank you Kathy and Gretchen. Cardstock is Basic Black and Melon Mambo. Black cardstock is run through the Big Shot and the Dotted embossing folder. Black embossing powder over versamark. We used the I{Heart} Hearts stamp set. Black Taffeta Ribbon. Enjoy!

Celebration Central

One Thing Different

One of the challenges from my uplines is to make one thing different to improve my business. My One Thing is to try and blog more. To show you more of what I'm doing and what we will be doing in classes. Over the next few days I am going to share some of the fabulous swap cards I received from Leadership and a swap at StampinAddicts. Todays picture is of me getting ready to board the buses to the Manager's Reception at Leadership. I made Manager this year because of all of you and I am so thankful. We went to the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville and had an experience I will never forget. Thank you all!!

Hello. Here is my Valentine card for 2011. It is a case from a Leadership swap by Susan Peters. Her's is on the left, mine is on the right. I am sending these to my downline and friends. I will actually get them out on time this year thanks to a snow day due to severe ice.
