Birthday Cupcakes

Good morning. I know the papers are retired on this card, but we liked the soft effect and used them anyway during the birthday cards class. This one uses Crazy for Cupcakes (111618). I wanted to show you how wonderful this stamp set is and how easy it is to make a really cute card. We used markers to color the cupcakes and stand, and applied Dazzling Diamonds using the two way glue pen. Great card for kids and adults alike. Enjoy!

More of Portsmouth Harbor

Another picture from Portsmouth Harbor. There was a festival going on and we spent the rest of the day there. I didn't take pictures, sorry, was enjoying the weather and spending time with daughter and son in law. Ate at the Weathervane and had the most fabulous clam strips. I love FRESH seafood and it doesn't get much fresher than here at the coast. Today is son in laws birthday, Happy Birthday. Enjoy!!

I love the ocean!!

No stamping pictures today. We drove along the ocean from Portsmouth NH all the way to York Maine. A total distance of 30 miles that took us all afternoon because of bumper to bumper traffic. I did manage to find a beach and put my feet in the ocean. I can sit and watch the water all day. I just love it. The weather was perfect with a blue bird sky. No clouds!!!! Goodies in the damaged box

Good morning from COLD New Hampshire. We are enjoying the visit with daughter and hubby. I showed you the damaged box yesterday, here is what was inside. It's hard to believe but nothing fell out. Look at what was on my doorstep

I opened the door on Monday to find this box from Stampin Up. Check out the corner. Mr. Brown wasn't sure what happened, but suggested I check it immediately. I did and everything was there and in fantastic condition. I'll show you tomorrow what was in the box. I'm on vacation in New Hampshire to celebrate my son-in-laws 30th birthday on Saturday. Enjoy!

A rose is a rose

Doxiejan from Stampin' Addicts has done one of the most fantastic (I think) cards using the watercolor technique with the Aqua Painter and Reinkers. This card, and many more, are in the Gallery at Stampin'Addicts. I love the new in colors she used and the new Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper. I will be making some of these when I get home from vacation. We are going to New Hampshire for our Son-In-Laws 30th birthday. It should be a good time. I also plan on visiting another of my online friends from Stampin' Addicts, Jen. I will have my laptop and should be posting during that time, but if I don't you will know why not. Enjoy!

Worm Wishes

This is another card from the class we had making kids birthday cards. I received a card like this in a swap and it didn't have any information on the back to give credit. I made this one similar to the swap, but put one of our new Pumpkin Pie Corduroy buttons in the corner. I'm thinking of cutting one of the caterpillers out and adhering it to the top right corner. I used Green Galore, Whisper White, and Brilliant Blue cardstock. Green Galore and Brilliant Blue ink and our wonderful Stampin' Write Markers. The stamp set is Bugs & Kisses. Enjoy!

Celebration banner cover

We finished the Celebration banner class on Tuesday. I posted the inside of the banner here. Now I want to show you the cover that my downline Celia created. She used our new Modern Label Punch (116630) to create the firecracker. She added 3 small stars using the small star punch (109045) to complete the front. I think it is perfect. The gals had so much fun making these. I will take pictures of their different creations and post later. Enjoy!

Razzleberry Lemonade

I love, love, love our new Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper (115675). You can purchase this wonderful paper beginning tomorrow afternoon. Our new Catalog is available on July 1st. This card was made using two of the papers plus the new Crushed Curry (115319) and Melon Mambo (115320) in-color cardstock. I love both of these. The stamp set is A Beautiful Thing (113618). I also used the Scallop circle (109043), 1 1/4 circle (104403) and the 1 3/8 circle (104401) punches. Enjoy!

Golf Table Decorations

Several friends were in charge of the table decorations for a guest day at their golf course. We used the Big Shot to make the Bag w/Scallops. They were made with So Saffron cardstock. We ran the Whisper White cardstock through the texturz plate to create the dots on the "golf ball". The accent color is Pixie Pink. We punched two holes and then put a golf tee through the holes. A golf ball was inside. So easy and the ladies really enjoyed receiving them. Enjoy!

Ohio State Birthday Card

My neighbor loves Ohio State. I found some ribbon at Pat Catan's that is scarlet and grey and says Ohio State. I used Real Red and Basic Grey cardstock. I ran the grey piece through the Big Shot texturz plate. The O is from the Serif Essentials big shot letters. I really think he will like this. Enjoy!

Flower Pot Card

The flower pot cards have been all over the place, including here. Patty Bennett (are you seeing a pattern here) has come up with another wonderful way to use the flowerpot. She had a great card on her blog that uses a smaller flowerpot. Here is my version. I used the new color Dusty Durango which will be available NEXT WEDNESDAY!!!! It also used Dusty Durango ink and marker. I used Kraft cardstock for the first layer and sponged the edges with Dusty Durango. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes which also will be available on July 1st. I added a Celery Cord button. The stamp set for the flowers is Bloomin' Beautiful. Enjoy!

Card Organizer

ON July 7th we will be making this wonderful card organizer. I got the original idea from Patty Bennett. This will use retired designer paper, it's a wonderful way to use up any leftovers you may have. Each month has a pocket to hold the cards you've created and have waiting to send to friends and family. Call or email to reserve your spot in class. Enjoy!

No new cards today

No new cards today as I am busy making my convention swaps. My wonderful sister's at Stampin'Addicts will be swapping for me in Salt Lake. I need to have them finished and in the mail by the middle of July. Don't be surprised if you are at convention and "see" me. There will be a flat dixie on a painters stick enjoying all the fun activities. I am sad to miss convention this year but we are saving up for an Alaskan Cruise next year. I hope to have a project to share tomorrow. Enjoy!

Ice Cream Cone

Here is the second of four cards we completed in class on Tuesday for our Kids Birthday Cards. This one uses the scalloped punch and the texture plates. You can't tell from the picture, but the cone was run thru the Texturz backgrounds #1 to create the cone effect. Hugs & Wishes stamp set was used and the cardstock colors are Naturals Ivory, Close to Cocoa, and Pretty in Pink. This card was adapted from a card by Chris Pirotrowski (I received this card as a swap and the name is blurred) Enjoy!

Wild about you

For my kids birthday class today we did this card using the Wild About You stamp set. This set is retiring and you only have until Tuesday, June 30th to order it. The DSP is Summer Picnic which is already retired. I loved that paper and bought a ton. I'm now using it up in a variety of ways. We missed you in class. Next Tuesday we are doing the Celebrate banner which is in a post from last week.Sorry about the smudge, it was dropped on a stamp pad. I usually put my samples in a plastic sleeve, but didn't today. Ah, such is life. Enjoy!

Beautiful Roses

I'm going to continue the flower posts. Will have cards to post after my class tomorrow. We are doing 8 kids birthday cards, 2 each of 4 different designs. I have one person signed up for my new In Color club and would love to have "many" more. Still have a week to sign up and to order anything from the last chance stamps and accessories lists. Let me know. These are the beautiful roses in front of my courtyard. I used them as the idea for the watercolor roses I did using Patty Bennett's directions. Notecards

I got the idea for these cards from Patty Bennett's blog. She used the Bella Bleu designer paper. I didn't have any so I used Parisian Breeze. I love the effect of these cards and the fact that they are so easy to create. Add a box and you have a wonderful easy last minute gift. I'm not sure why my pictures are getting out of wack on the bottom, but it is happening with all my memory cards. I guess it's time for a new camera. YEA! Enjoy!

Punch Flowers

This wonderful flower was made with the 5 petal punch. Make a small point in the middle and then cut each petal into the center. Then just start arranging the petals into a flower. Enjoy!

Convention swap sneak peek

Purse class tomorrow

My class tomorrow will be creating 3 purses to hold hand cream, Purell, lip balm. I love these little purses and it makes it so easy with the Big Shot. You will find the directions for these little treasures at InkingIdaho. I'll try to post more of the samples later this week. Enjoy

Spring Lily

My daughter won a Lily at a shower last fall and it really did not look good. I said let's just plant it and see what happens. As you can see, it really took to the place it was planted. I counted 40 blooms. What great color. I won't have any card pictures until mid-week as I am completing the samples for my summer classes. Enjoy your Sunday.

Inside of gift card holder

Good morning. I've been having problems adding more than one picture to the blog, so here is the inside of the gift card holder. It has a place to attach a gift card (with a glue dot) and to write your sentiment. I love these. Enjoy!

Gift card holder Challenge

I am a proud member of Stampin Addicts. See that little button on the right side of my post. We have daily challenges and this was Holly's Gift card holder. She makes the most fantastic video's to help with the challenges. Here is my take with two of the new papers available to you on July 1st. It was so easy. I chose not to color in the cupcakes, thought they looked fine uncolored. Enjoy!

Flower Pot Gift card holder

This type of card/invitation is very hot right now. Almost every blog I visit has one and I didn't want to be left out. I sorta case'd one from Amy Bell's blog here. She has wonderful projects. The center piece with the two flowers pulls out and you stamp/write your invitation there. Change the colors and it would make a cute baby shower invitation. Enjoy!

Rockabilly gift card holder

I love SU's Designer Paper. This is one of my favorite, Rockabilly. It is only available until June 30th. Graduation time is here and this is a cute way to present the gift card to the graduate. MIA a long time

Good morning. Sorry for the lack of posts, still can't get into the routine of taking pictures and posting. School is out on Thursday and my goal is to post at least 20 times during the month of June. This picture might explain why I have problems posting. Day 3 Secret Sister Swap and Reveal

My wonderful secret sister is Missi. She is such a talented lady. Look at the wonderful goodies I got today. The plastic eggs were packaged in a half an egg carton. Loaded with chocolate, jelly beans, and buttons/brads. Thank you again Missi for 3 wonderful days of great goodies.

Secret Sister Swap, Day Two

Here are the wonderful gifts I received for day two. I did not buy the calendar kit from the Winter Mini and here it is. I can't wait to put it together. I love the ribbon rose, roses are my favorite flowers. I have a special place on my mantle for it so I can look at it everyday. The saying is the Statement of the Heart from Stampin' UP!

Welcome new baby

Friends are going to be grandparents for the first time. They are expecting a girl. I made the card casing one I got at Leadership. It was done for a boy so I adapted. The swap did not have a name so if this is yours let me know.

We are going to visit our daughter and son in law for a few days. They bought a new home and I can't wait to see it. I probably won't be posting for a few days.

I am sorry I haven't posted in (oh my goodness) a month. Most of the projects I've been working on have been for swaps at Stampin'Addicts or for my Peep's gifts. Day 3 SA gifts and the Reveal

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Today is the last day of our SA Cupidee gift exchange. I also found out who my cupidee was.......Paula! Such a talented stamper. I love all my gifts. Todays is a wonderful tin box covered with Raspberry Tart paper, and my initial on the front. Inside is more chocolate in red and gold foil.....and a RED STARBUCKS card. Does Paula know me or what. Day 2 SA Cupid gift

Today is day two of our 3 day SA cupidee gifts. Today is the most wonderful little silver pail loaded with pink and red m&m's and paper flowers stuck in the middle. I can't wait to see who she is. This has been so much fun.

Sorry for no posts

Good morning. I am so sorry about the lack of posts for the last several weeks. Life has truly gotten in the way. I've got some cards/projects in the works and will work hard this week to get them photographed and uploaded. My class schedule is posted on my SU website, and I am going to do a DSP paper share. If I get 4 people interested the cost will be $60.63 (which includes shipping and tax). Each person will receive one 12"x 6" piece of EACH of our designer papers. If 8 people are interested, the cost would be $30.31. This will include one 6"X6" piece of each of the designer papers. I love having all my supplies at home. I spent the morning with my friend Celia organizing my craft room (actually she did all the work). It looks fantastic. I created the Let It Snow banner for my January banner class. I think it came out very well. The instructions for the banner were from a tutorial Patty Bennett sold.

I cannot believe 2009 is here already. I've been moving my stamp studio into my home this week. I am worn out! Now I need to find a place for everything and do some creating so I can post some pictures. Stay warm and I'll talk to you later.
