Lobster Roll

Visited our Daughter and Son-In-Law in August and spent the day in Kennebunkport Maine. One of the highlights of going there is the little "shack" by the bridge that has the best Lobster Rolls ever. Yummo, really enjoyed it.

Another Blooming with Kindness

Isn't this another fantastic color combination? And I love using the Embossing folders to add texture and the WOW factor. The ribbon is the back side of our black polka dotted ribbon. Blooming with Kindness

Blooming with Kindness is the set we will be using at the Church event and it will also be the set used in the October Class to Go. I will post the cost closer to October. Triple layer stamping

Today's post is the new triple layer stamping technique. I will be presenting this card at an event at North Mar Church on October 13th. The ladies will purchase the stamp set and then we will make 3 cards. Love this technique and love the color combo.

Missing in action

Sorry I haven't been posting, I've been creating. And I always forget to bring my camera down to the stamp room. I will take all the pictures this weekend and get back to regular posting next week. Lots of fun surprises for the upcoming classes and Classes to go. Don't forget about the In-Color club, it's not too late to join.

A few reminders

My Christmas Buffet begins on Monday. I have 2 openings in my morning class and 3 for the evening. $75 if you pre-pay before Monday and you will make a total of 40 cards by the end of the November class. Class fee is $20 a month after Monday. I will have the pictures up for the next Class to go. We will use the Mixed Bunch stamp set and punch. The cost will be $60 for the stamp set(in clear), punch, directions, pictures, and cardstock cut for 4 cards. Cost is $70 for wood. Let me know asap so I can get the materials ordered.

New classes

There are some changes to my upcoming classes. I’ve cancelled the last Tuesday of the month classes and will begin last Monday classes. The times are 10:00 am until noon and 7:00-9:00 pm. Note the time change. Also, beginning in August we will be doing a Christmas card buffet on the second Monday of the month from 10-noon or 7-9 pm. You will make 10 cards a month (August –November) with a total of 40 cards. Cost is $20 a month for a total cost of $80.00. RSVP and payment is due by the first Monday of the month. If you pay for all 4 months in advance the cost would be $75.00, a savings of $5.00. I am also offering a class to go. It will include a stamp set (your choice of clear or wood mount) and pre-cut supplies for 4 cards. A print out of the 4 cards will be included with a picture. If you already own the stamp set we are using, you can substitute another of equal value. The first class will include Button Buddies stamp set (#122735 wood or #122737 clear) and all supplies for the cards. Class cost is $35 for wood or $30 for clear. You will need acrylic blocks to mount your stamps. We will use block D (118485 $8.50) for this class. You can add $10.00 to your payment to include the acrylic block. Payment is due by July 10th and class will be available for pick-up or mailing (add $5.25 for priority shipping) on July 20th. Change in class day

Beginning in July I am changing the last Tuesday of the month class to the last Monday. Seems to work out better for more people and I would like to increase my class size. July's cards will be generic. You can add whatever sentiment you choose. RSVP today.

Last card for the Carnival

This is the last card I made for the 7 yr. old who was badly hurt in an accident several weeks ago. They are having a carnival for her at the end of the month. Anyone who buys the cards can fill them out right there and put them in a box for her to look at when she is better.

For the next few days I will be posting cards I've made for a 7 year old that was injured last week. The cards are going to be sold at a carnival and whomever buys them will sign it and put it in a box. My downline, Jessica Hampton, is one of the organizers of the carnival. Every so often I will sit down with our catalog and read it from cover to cover. That is how I found this wonderful aide for all of you. If you are beginning to use the clear mount stamps use this link to find a downloadable form to see which block you need for your stamps. Interesting experience

My friends came over to stamp, in the basement, and we had a power failure halfway thru the second card. Down came the candles and we finished that card and started the third one by candle light. We laughed about what an adventure it was. The lights came on as we were beginning the punching for the third one. What a hoot trying to line up the stamping with the punch by candles.

Last Tuesday of the month class - Birthday Cards

This is the third card we will be making on the Last Tuesday of the Month. It was cased from Michelle Surette and Sharon Burkert. One was the creator and one cased it and then I changed it up from there. Confused yet? I just love, love, love the Summer Smoochies Designer Paper.

On a sad note, Dotto will not be available anymore, effective immediately. It was going to be retired at the end of the current catalog but problems with the manufacture has prompted Stampin'Up! to stop orders now. If you ordered Dotto and it was on backorder you will be receiving a refund from the company. I am sorry about that as I love Dotto and will have to seek out a replacement product.

April WOW class

The class is on Wednesday, April 11 at either 10:00 am or 6:00 pm. The class is free but requires a $30 order. RSVP REQUIRED. Call or email today to confirm your seat. If you've placed your order prior to the class, it will count for the class.

Also, the stencil and the fabric covered brads from the Summer Smoochies will not be carried over past April 30. Don't let the month get away from you and not order these wonderful products.

This is another of the cards we made yesterday at the end of the Month class. This was another swap from Leadership created by Arlene Bridges. We substituted the Marina Mist ruffled ribbon for the satin. Enjoy.

The cards we will be making this Tuesday will be Thinking of You. The cards we are making are from Swaps I received at Leadership. I love how we don't need to re-invent the wheel. Stampin'Up! demonstrators are such a sharing group. This card was designed by Susan Lehr. The only thing we will change is the saying. We will add Thinking of you to the middle.

Sandee's Workshop

Sandee's workshop is Saturday and she wanted something simple both in a card and a scrapbook page. I took the layout we did at Leadership and shrunk it down to 6 x 6. I love how it came out. I hope her guests do too. I'll post the card tomorrow.
